Makeup Shopping Guide for Canadians

Wondering where to buy a certain makeup brand in Canada? I created this guide to help fellow Canadian makeup lovers find beauty brands online through sites that will ship to Canada.

Shipping from Other Countries
I prefer sites that have any customs duties, taxes, or brokerage fees built in to the shipping rate, so you know in advance exactly how much you’re paying. Be careful of sites that state they are “not responsible for any import duties”. You may be faced with paying an additional C.O.D. bill, including duties or taxes (usually 5%-15%) PLUS whatever brokerage fees the shipping company charges. UPS and FedEx brokerage fees can be as high as 50% of your order price!

Best Shipping Method
Select USPS (United States Postal Service) as the shipping method when available. It may not be as fast, but you wont have to pay any brokerage fees. I’ve never incurred any additional charges when receiving packages shipped via USPS.

Canadian Sites & Sites that Ship to Canada:
Shoppers Drug Mart
London Drugs
Canada Beauty Supply
Kiss and Makeup
Amazon.caย (if you order directly from them, not a third party shipper)
TSC (The Shopping Channel)
The Bay
Saks Fifth Avenue

  4. Thanks for the list! Does anybody know where you can buy any more bรฉsame products if you’re from Canada? Nothing ships here without being at least 25 dollars and the Sephora site offers hardly anything.

  8. Thank you for this list! It was really helpful to read before ordering from MUG.

I live in Toronto and placed a $135 USD (+ $8 standard mail) order from Makeup Geek on Feb 13th and received it on Feb 21st. There was no customs charge or anything other than the initial order I placed. The tracking number they emailed me was extremely accurate and actually followed the order until it was delivered to me.

All the shadows were beautiful and great quality; I was starting to feel buyer’s regret because of the potentially expensive (with expected duty charges and conversion to CDN) but then when I swatched them today, I realized they are excellent quality and totally worth it for me. The dome Z-palette is also quite sturdy, and I didn’t end up needing the magnetic pieces it came with because the shadows themselves are in magnetized pans.

Hope this helps anyone interested in buying!

    • Thanks for your comments! My experience with MUG was very similar. Inexpensive shipping and no hidden customs duties. I am glad you love your MUG shadows. I love mine too! I really want to order some of the lipsticks next ๐Ÿ™‚

I have someone visiting from Canada and I want to make a cosmetic gift bag but I am not sure what products in the US are not available in Canada. Besides Lorac, what other lines (mid to high end should I pick up here)?? It seems to me nearly everything is available via websites but maybe not. Any help?? Anyone? Anyone?

Hi, great list! Real Canadian Superstore (in BC at least) also has a surprisingly great beauty selection. They have ELF, Milanli, Wet and Wild, as well as the usual bug brands. London Drugs also has great stuff, and added ELF.

  13. How do you make your Pinterest pins? I have a business account, but I don’t know how to add my pics and pin them. Please advise. Thank you!

  14. khouloud

ou je peux trouver les produits nyx a montreal !

  15. Ruby Begonia

Nail Polish Canada sells Sigma brushes. Canada Beauty Supply’s prices are often twice the price as other sites for certain products. I won’t shop from their site.
