My First Laura Mercier Lipstick

Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm

Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm

Hi everyone! Today’s post is a quick review of a new lipstick I picked up the last time I was at Sephora. I have heard really great things about the Laura Mercier lippies but have never tried one. I recently got one of the Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalms. Don’t you just love the name “Lip Parfait”?

If you’re following my blog, you’ll know that I really love hydrating, moisturizing lippies and I’m not a big fan of a matte lip on me. The Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm is meant to provide “incredible conditioning and comfortable application. The non-sticky formula provides the comfort of a lip balm, the coverage of a lipstick, and the shine of a gloss in just one swipe.” It sounded right up my alley 🙂

There are 12 shades available through the Canadian Sephora. I went with Raspberry Ripple, a “pink mauve.” (I thought the signature on the inside of the tube was a cute touch!)

I am loving this lipstick! It is so comfortable to wear. It literally feels like applying lip balm and has some delicious hydrating ingredients like Shea butter. Its also surprisingly pigmented and long-wearing for a lipstick that is so glossy and moisturizing. It stays on for hours, only coming off if I eat lunch or something. It wears off very evenly and does leave you with a bit of a stain even after its worn off.

It isn’t overly scented. It has a faintly sweet or maybe vanilla scent? Maybe freshly baked sugar cookie? Its not overpowering and it doesn’t have any discernible taste.

I really like the slightly glossy finish that you can see in the swatch:

If you’re looking for a low-maintenance lippie that you can just swipe on like a lip balm, you’ll likely love the Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalms. Some of the other shades that look really pretty are Iced Pomegranate (a “deep berry“) and Cherries Jubilee (a “bluish red“). The Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalms are $31 CAD at Sephora.

Thanks so much for reading!

  1. That is a lovely shade, I haven’t tried anything from Laura Mercier!

  2. The packaging is lovely and so is the colour! Creamy formulas are so comfortable to wear 🙂

  3. The formula sounds exactly like what I’d enjoy! This shade is so “me”… I’ve been wanting to get more into Laura Mercier as a brand.

I'd love to hear what you think! Please leave me a comment.
