Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you’re all having a great holidays and have been able to take some time off to relax and spend time with family and friends. I have really been enjoying my time off, especially going to holiday parties and get-togethers, and eating one of my absolute favourite foods – turkey! The other really enjoyable thing that happens in December is Sephora gives us $25 off. Tis the season for giving 🙂
This year, one of the things I used my discount for was the Bite Beauty Champagne Discovery Lip Set. This “champagne-inspired, holiday trio for lips, eyes, and cheeks” just looked so pretty and I’m a fan of the Bite Beauty lip products. And what girl can resist rose gold packaging? The set is a selection of three bestsellers in complementary shades and includes a Lip Pencil, one of the Multisticks, and a Lip Gloss.
I’d already tried one of the Lip Pencils, and really liked it. I find them creamy and smooth and they don’t dry out your lips. The Champagne Discovery Lip Set comes with shade #036, a “matte rose taupe.” This is one of those perfect lip pencil shades, a rosy-brown nude.
The set also comes with a Multistick, which apparently can be worn on the cheeks and eyes too. The Multistick “applies like a cream and wears like a powder for weightless color application — just apply with your finger or a brush on the eyes, lips, and cheeks. With 35 percent powder in each Multistick bullet, this silicone-free formula creates a soft focus finish that’s blendable, breathable, and buildable.”
The Multistick is in the shade Cashew also a “rose taupe.” It is very close in colour to the Lip Pencil. I think the only thing I would have liked to have seen with this set would be a bit more of a different shade, for variety’s sake, but Cashew is a very pretty, wearable shade.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Multistick, but I actually really like it! Its a very unique texture. Its very light and thin, and glides on, but then almost seems to dry down to a more powdered, matte finish. I thought this might be uncomfortable on the lips, but it really wasn’t. Its such a nice formula and feels great. I also really liked that its pretty much unscented. I haven’t tried it on the cheek or eyes yet. I’m not sure Cashew would be a shade I’d want as a cheek colour, but it would likely make a pretty eye shadow base.
The other item I hadn’t tried from Bite is their Lip Gloss. I’m not usually a big gloss wearer anymore, but there was something about a champagne gloss for the holidays. The shade Champagne looks like pure rose gold in the tube. Its gorgeous. Its described as “metallic champagne with nude and gold shimmer.” The shimmer is so fine and subtle. This was the perfect thing to wear to holiday parties, and definitely what I’ll be wearing on New Year’s Eve!
For the swatches, I wanted to show you how each product looked on its own as well as together. On the far right, I started with the Lip Pencil, then layered the Multistick over it, and then topped it with the Lip Gloss:
Here is a shot of me wearing just the Lip Liner in 036 with the Multistick in Cashew:
And finally here is how they look with the Champagne Lip Gloss on top:
I hope you enjoyed my review. The Bite Beauty Champagne Discovery Lip Set is regularly $39.00 CAD and is still available on the Sephora Canada site.
I just want to wish everyone an amazing 2018!
Happy New Year!
