Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara
Hi everyone! It has been ages since I last posted. Working at a university, the fall is a super busy time. I have had so many projects on the go this fall that I have had hardly any spare time. Plus, another exciting thing happened – we bought a house! Very unexpectedly. We had almost bought a house two years ago but some stuff happened and we ended up not proceeding with the sale. So things have been crazy! I hadn’t even realized how long it had been since I was last blogging.

I’m back with a review of the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara. I recently finished my Smashbox X-Rated Mascara which I totally loved. The wand and the formula of the X-Rated mascara is one of my favourites. When I started testing out the Full Exposure mascara, I immediately thought – oh no a huge brush! This is one mascara trend that I’m not a big fan of.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

The Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara has one of those very large, oversized brushes

I just find these really big, dense wands too difficult to use. I have somewhat hooded eyelids, so applying mascara with a giant wand like this ends up getting it all over the place. I also find it difficult to really get in there and separate and fully coat the lashes with this type of big bristly brush. They don’t really work for me.

Like the Smashbox Indecent Exposure and the X-Rated mascaras, this is a great formula, its very black and stays put and doesn’t flake off or smudge. I just still prefer the X-Rated mascara brush best and it is still my favourite pick out of the three.

If you are a fan of this type of oversized mascara brush, you might want to give this a try. The Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara is $25 CAD.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Wow, congrats on buying a house! There goes all of your free time! 😛
I don’t hate large wands – they typically provide a lot of volume and that’s the look I’m looking for. Some of the wands are OUT OF CONTROL though!
Nice to see you back… and maybe see you in another 3 months? 😆 😉

    • Thank-you! We won’t be moving in until the spring, so you’ll be hearing from me until then 🙂 although I’m going to have to be on a bit of a “low-buy” for a while. I think I’d like to do some posts on moving in and decorating in the new house though.

  2. I’m not a big fan of huge mascara brushes but I like this one from Smashbox. It was my fave high end mascara until I tried the Urban Decay Perversion. I still like it though.

  3. Great post! Have you ever tried Benefit Roller Lash? It’s my new fave. It’s water resistant so it doesn’t flake, but it’s easy to remove. Having hooded eyelids is no fun, thank you gravity and old age!

I'd love to hear what you think! Please leave me a comment.
