Make Up For Ever has come out with a new HD under eye concealer! The only foundation I use is the MUFE Ultra HD Invisible Cover which I’ve reviewed and also included in my 2015 Favourites. MUFE has shades light enough for very pale skin (I use the lightest foundation shade, Y205 Alabaster). I couldn’t wait to try the MUFE Ultra HD Concealer. It comes in only 5 shades, but lucky for me, the lightest, Y21 is super light! It is the lightest concealer that I have ever seen from any brand. If you’re a pale-skinned girl and have had a hard time finding a light enough concealer, I would definitely check this one out.
There are also 5 color correctors that “neutralize dark circles with a peach shade.” You can see how you are meant to use the two together in this video. I’ve never used a corrector. I just use the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer. I decided to wait on trying one of the correctors until I tested out the concealer to see if liked it. I’m going to be in Toronto this week and will, of course, have to stop into a Sephora 🙂 and I will swatch the correctors and see what I think of them. Please let me know if you’ve tried them!
I’ve been using this concealer for about a week and a half now and I have to say I really love it. Its very different than the type of under eye concealers I’m used to which tend to be thick and creamy. The MUFE Ultra HD Concealer is very lightweight and thin. You only need to use a TINY amount. Seriously, however much you think you need, use only half that much! The squeeze tube packaging was a great design, because it allows you to be able to squeeze out just a tiny bit of product. Its very easy to spread out by patting with your finger, which is how I like to apply under eye concealer. Like the MUFE Ultra HD foundation, its weightless and natural looking yet gives what seems like a magical amount of coverage. I don’t know how they do it, but I suspect witchcraft. I don’t have too much trouble with the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer creasing, but the MUFE literally doesn’t crease AT ALL. I have been setting it with a little bit of MUFE HD Microfinish powder.
I think this is a unique and innovative product. If you are still searching for a good under eye concealer that works for you, I would recommend trying this one. I would say the only downside is that there are currently only 4 other shades, and I have read a lot of reviews that they are all pretty light, which means darker skin tones might be out of luck. However, judging by MUFE’s insane range of foundation shades, maybe they are planning on adding additional shades?
The MUFE Ultra HD Concealer is $32.00 CAD. Based on how little you need to use, I think it will take me months to go through this tube though!
Let me know if you plan on trying the MUFE concealers or correctors! 🙂
