Hey there! I’m back. Its been a crazy busy month with work and I’ve had very little time for anything, especially blogging. The fall is the busiest time of the year for me. I thought I’d get back in the swing of things with a giveaway! I absolutely love MAC blushes and I thought I’d share my favourite MAC blushes for fair skin and at the end of my post I’ll reveal which of those 5 blushes I will be giving away to a subscriber!
In no particular order, let’s start with Cubic.
Cubic is a satin finish. MAC’s description is “soft muted pink”. This was my first ever MAC blush and it was picked out for me by the SA. Its one of those blushes that doesn’t wow you in the pan, but its a very subtle, natural looking, neutral blush for fair skin. This one might not be a great pick for darker skintones.
Dollymix is a sheertone shimmer described as “pure candy pink”. It looks a little scary at first, but because it is a sheertone finish, its sheer and natural looking and isn’t too shimmery. This is a great pink for lighter skin tones when super pigmented pinks can border on clown-like.
Blushbaby is a popular MAC blush, and once you’ve tried it, its easy to see why. This pinky-beige, sheertone finish blush can give virtually all skintones a natural looking flush.
Mocha is a completely matte finish (I love matte blushes!). Its a muted, plum-toned pink that is a apparently worn by the very fair-skinned Dita Von Teese. If you like a fair skin/rosy-cheeked snow white type of look, you’ll love Mocha.
Prism is a muted slightly peachy, mostly pinky-brown with a completely matte finish. You could use this cool-toned blush for contouring, but I think on fair-skin, it also works as a cheek colour.
Here they all are swatched side-by-side:
