This was one of the items I picked up in the Sephora VIB sale. I had been considering it for a while. I love the packaging and always love some neutrals, so I thought it was time to actually order it.
The World Famous Neutrals Most Glamorous Nudes kit contains 2 creaseless cream shadows in Birthday Suit and My Two Cents, and 4 long-wearing powder shadows.
I had tried Benefit’s creaseless cream shadows a long time ago in R.S.V.P. and Skinny Jeans. I thought they were ok, but they didn’t wow me. I feel the same way about Birthday Suit and My Two Cents. I’m still not convinced the creaseless cream shadows work well on their own, but they are nice layered under a powder shadow. I would say they are my least favourite part of this kit.
The powder shades I am a much bigger fan of. Buttery and pigmented, all four shades are pretty, natural, and wearable – everything you’d want in a neutral eyeshadow kit. None of the shades are over the top shimmery either. I love Call My Bluff, a pale creamy matte shade, and Kiss Me I’m Tipsy, a medium brown with a satin finish, especially.
I think this is a fun kit, but I’m glad I got it for $28.80 CAD, versus $36.00 full price. The only other peeve I have about the kit is that its really difficult to get the cover to stay open. You have to hold it or prop it open while you’re using it or it snaps shut. Does this bug anyone else?
