Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stains

When I saw these new Balm Stains in the Wet n Wild section, they immediately reminded me of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and the Clinique Chubby Sticks. All three have the same shape and size and “twist-up” packaging.

I had to try them out. I picked up two of the six shades:

  • 128 Pinky Promise – a light, soft, baby pink with some shimmer
  • 126 Rico Muave – a medium, cool-toned, mauvey-pink

I think these are very similar to the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains (rather than the Clinique Chubby Sticks which are more of a tinted lip balm). They even have a slightly minty scent when applied like the Revlon do. I really liked the “Rico Muave” shade which REALLY stained and stayed on all day. “Pinky Promise” didn’t really work as a stain, but is still a pretty shade. I didn’t find that either of these dried out my lips or irritated them at all.

The Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stains are only $3.99 CAD compared to the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains which are typically $9.99 CAD. In my area, they are available at Walmart and Lawton’s Drugs. They’re also available online in Canada through Well.ca.

Have you tried them yet? Let me know what you think.

Thanks for stopping by ❤

I have a few balm stains and I want to try out the Revlon ones. Which do you prefer?

    • I think the Revlon, but only because the selection of shades is so much greater. Wet n Wild only has 6 to choose from. Quality wise I found them extremely similar.

I really want to try out the Revlon ones it’s just that the price varies in so many stores I’m just going to wait for an Ulta sale. $9 in my local drugstores for Revlon over $3 for Wet n Wild, I chose Wet n Wild. Plus I reviewed the wet n wild balm stains on my blog and I luckily got each for $2.

      • Nice post! I really like the Lady & the Vamp shade after seeing your swatch. I’m totally with you – the price point for the Wet n Wild is unbeatable 🙂

It’s really nice on the lips. I just love how moisturizing the balm stains are.
