Is it just me or does it seem like everyone has been talking about the NYX Butter Glosses lately? Maybe because they just released a bunch of new shades? In any case, I had read/watched so many recent reviews about these, I had to try them out for myself. With cute, dessert-inspired names, a sweet vanilla scent, and a lot of shades to choose from, I can understand why people are raving about these.
I’m not always a fan of the scent or taste of NYX lip products, but the Butter Glosses were surprisingly appealing. The scent is subtle and I didn’t notice it once applied. I also didn’t notice much of a taste. I got the shades:
- Vanilla Cream Pie: Bright mauvey-pink
- Creme Brulee: Pale, soft pinkey-nude
- Tiramisu: Pinkey-brown
I really like these applied over lipliner (MAC Whirl with Tiramisu was my favourite combo so far). They aren’t too shiny or sticky like some lip glosses. Obviously they aren’t super long wearing, but I don’t mind reapplying. I think they are a unique product, and at $5.50 CAD definitely worth trying out.
I ordered mine through Cherry Culture. The shipping wasn’t bad ($15 CAD) and it arrived within 10 days, which is super fast for Canada! I also got a free lime lip balm with my order.
Have you tried any shades that you would recommend?
Thanks for stopping by ❤
