My last post, Foundation Graveyard: Fair Skin Foundation Fails listed all of the liquid foundations I’ve tried that really haven’t worked for me. So I thought I would give us fair-skinned girls some hope and talk about a foundation I am currently loving: Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation in “110 Porcelain Pink”.
I had mentioned this in a previous post along with some other things I’d been trying. I’ve been using it for over a month now and I can honestly say it’s working really well. The MUF foundation range has 26 shades! The lightest, 110 Porcelain Pink “for porcelain skin with pink undertones”, is the best colour match I have ever found. The best thing is it doesn’t oxidize or shift in colour throughout the day.
It’s also super long wearing. I don’t even set it with a powder, although I do use the UD Setting Spray. It’s sheer and natural looking, letting your own skin come through, yet also provides good coverage. I apply it with the Beautyblender. The foundation is water-based and very light. So far, I haven’t had any issues with it aggravating my skin.
The only negative is the price: $49 CND. But I have such a difficult time finding a foundation I am happy with, I really feel it is worth it to have something that looks good, matches my skintone, and doesn’t bother my skin. It is a thin consistency and a little also goes a long way, so I feel like it will last me a long time before I have to repurchase (I can keep you updated on that). UPDATE: I am finding that one bottle lasts about 3-4 months.
