Trying out The Body Shop Cosmetics

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Shimmer Lip Balm and Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in "01 Light Matte"

I had never tired any of The Body Shop’s makeup line, but after watching one of Canadian Youtuber, essie-button‘s videos, I felt compelled to check out the Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder which she continually mentions as one of her favourites. She is pretty fair-skinned, and it’s difficult to find bronzers that work on us pale skinned gals, so I thought I would take her advice and give the Honey Bronzer a whirl! The Body Shop had a buy one get one half off promotion, so I couldn’t resist also nabbing a cute little Honey Bronze Shimmer Lip Balm for $5.00 CND (regularly $10.00).

I really, really like the Honey Bronzer. I don’t know if it contains any actual honey, but how cute is the honeycomb pattern???

The packaging on both of these is just beyond adorable. The lip balm looks like a little honey pot! And I love the rich, brown packaging. You don’t see that colour used that often. I also thought the price points were very reasonable (the Honey Bronzer is $20.00 CND).

I am enjoying the bronzer. It’s not at all orangey or muddy, and does in fact work very well on cool-toned, fair-skin. It’s completely matte; no shimmer. I find I can use it as a contour or a blush. It doesn’t seem to contain any fragrance and has not irritated my sensitive skin. Thumbs up for The Body Shop so far. Leave me a comment if you can recommend any other Body Shop makeup products!

There are tons of Body Shop locations in Canada and you can also order online on their website.
