Ipsy November Glam Bag Review

If you’re not familiar with “beauty boxes” or “beauty bags”, they are a monthly subscription service where a box, bag, or sometimes even a mailing tube of make-up and skincare samples are delivered to your door. You don’t select the products; Its a surprise and every month is different. After reviewing some of the services available in Canada (like Glossybox, Topbox, Luxe Box) and comparing prices, number of samples, and reviews, I decided to try out Ipsy’s “Glam Bags”.

I liked that you get an actual cosmetic bag every month (vs a box) as I thought they would be more useful, and they seemed to have the best selection of brands. Ipsy is $14.95 USD per month, or roughly $16.00 CND shipping included.

I subscribed in September, and I have been impressed so far that I have actually received my Glam Bag for each month in that same month, i.e I got my September Glam Bag in September, my October Glam Bag in October, etc. So they have the shipping sorted out, even for remote Canadian locations!

Here is what I received in my November Glam Bag:

The November theme was “Glam It Up”. It contained:

  • Nailtini nail lacquer in Cavier Cocktail (a shimmery gunmetal gray): $13
  • Pixi bronzer in Subtly Suntouched: $26
  • Glamglow mud mask: $21
  • Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn: $14
  • em Michelle Phan lash gallery lengthening mascara: $20
  • Starlooks Gem Liner in amethyst: $14

So, to buy all of these 6 products separately would be $ 108. Pretty good value for $16! I have been happy with the product selection so far.

I will keep you posted on future Glam Bags.
